Lindsay Lee, a senior majoring in mathematics and Spanish, is among 32 U.S. men and women who have been named Rhodes Scholars and will start all-expenses-paid studies at Oxford University in England next October. Lindsay has done research at the National Institute of Mathematical and Biological Synthesis, Vanderbilt Medical Center, and Oak Ridge National Laboratory. She has also served in many leadership roles on campus such as president of the Dean’s Student Advisory Council and has represented the Volunteer spirit by lending a hand for the homeless and at the children’s hospital. Diagnosed with muscular dystrophy at age three, Lindsay is a passionate advocate for disability issues locally, nationally, and globally.
