UT’s undergraduate and master’s-level accounting programs have been ranked in the top 25 in the country among all universities, according to the 2013 Public Accounting Report.

Both College of Business Administration programs ranked twenty-fourth among programs with comparable faculty sizes.

“Our program’s appearance in the Public Accounting Report ranking demonstrates that we are producing graduates who excel and make an impact in the profession,” said Bruce Behn, Deloitte LLP Professor and head of the college’s Department of Accounting and Information Management. “Our graduates recently also made a name for themselves by ranking among the top in the nation for passing all parts of the 2012 Certified Public Accountant examination.”

The 2012 CPA exam results from the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy showed that UT’s programs ranked sixteenth out of 255 in large accounting programs. UT’s programs also ranked thirty-seventh overall out of 781 total programs, which placed them in the top 5 percent.

The Public Accounting Report is the industry’s benchmark publication that annually ranks accounting programs worldwide.
