Noriko J. Horiguchi, an associate professor in the Department of Modern Foreign Languages and Literatures, gave a book talk last week at the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C.

Horiguchi’s talk was based on her 2011 book, Women Adrift: The Literature of Japan’s Imperial Body. She discussed the literary accounts and memories of women’s roles in the expansion of the Japanese empire.

The event was sponsored by the Asian Division of the Library of Congress.
