More than 1,800 UT Knoxville employees joined Chancellor Jimmy G. Cheek for lunch yesterday at a start-of-the-semester picnic in Circle Park.
The lunch provided an opportunity for employees to unwind before the fall semester officially kicks off tomorrow.
Along with hot dogs, barbeque, and veggie wraps, the lunch was topped off with music and ice cream from Mayfield. The campus hopes to make the picnic an annual event.
