The News Sentinel article highlights initiatives within UT’s College of Business Administration that promote entrepreneurship such as the Anderson Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation and the Entrepreneur Fellow program.  The piece highlights the genesis of Bootie Butler, a start-up company that became a classroom project. Student Greg Compton served a four-month internship that challenged him to make a case for the company’s return on investment to hire him full time. He now heads the company’s operations. According to the article, Knoxville has a unique match of executives who’ve retired here because of the region’s enviable quality of life and UT business students who are in need of entrepreneurial mentors.
