Jay Price, environmental coordinator, was featured as a ‘newsmaker’ on WBIR for leading campus recycling efforts on football game days. Interviewed by Robin Wilhoit, Price discussed how UT Recycling has been recycling more than ever this season by increasing the number of recycling bins and strategically placing them, and recruiting more recycling volunteers. He noted UT Recycling aims to recycle 50 tons of waste this football season. Price also discussed the EPA Game Day Recycling Challenge taking place during the Alabama game on Oct. 23rd which promotes waste reduction on college game days.
