KNOXVILLE — The University of Tennessee’s Dance Marathon organization will sell box seats for athletic events and autographed memorabilia to raise money for the East Tennessee Children’s Hospital (ETCH).

Students on the Dance Marathon committee are hosting an online auction on e-Bay through Jan. 28, for the ETCH’s Hematology and Oncology Clinic.

Dance Marathon is UT’s largest student-run philanthropy, and money from the event and the auction go directly to the hematology and oncology clinic at East Tennessee Children’s Hospital. Since 1995, UT students have raised more than $770,000 for ETCH through Dance Marathon. This year’s event will be held Feb. 23-24 in Stokely Athletic Center.

Seven items will be auctioned including
–A “Guest Coach” spot with Coach Pat Summitt for the UT Lady Vols vs. Mississippi game on Feb. 15.
–Tickets for box seats to the UT Lady Vols vs. Mississippi game on Feb. 15.
–A field pass for a UT home football game in the 2007 season.
–A walk-thru pass for a UT home football game in the 2007 season.
–A basketball autographed by Bruce Pearl, a basketball autographed by Pat Summitt, and a football autographed by Phillip Fulmer.
