KNOXVILLE — Ever dream of studying journalism in Denmark? Learning about African culture in Ghana? Perfecting your French by living in Paris for a month?

University of Tennessee students interested in studying abroad can talk to peers who have traveled and learn about available programs at the Study Abroad Fair on Feb. 1.

The fair runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the University Center ballroom.

Study abroad organizations from around the world will be on hand to visit with students, and international students will be there to share insights about their home countries. Information about financial aid and health services also will be available.

“This is a great one-stop shop for any student who has thought about studying abroad,” said Todd Steed, a coordinator in the Programs Abroad Office.

Prizes will be given out on the top of each hour.

Study aboard plays a key role in UT’s groundbreaking initiative, Ready for the World. The goal of Ready for the World is to increase international and intercultural aspects of the university, and to ensure all UT undergraduates gain the knowledge, perspectives and skills needed to succeed in today’s complex, pluralistic world.
