Need a Ride to West Tennessee for Winter Break?

If you live in or near Jackson or Memphis, you can catch a ride home for winter break with the UT to West Tennessee program which offers transportation home to West Tennessee for Thanksgiving, winter, and spring breaks. Registration for the Thanksgiving trip has closed; however, registration for the winter break trip is open.

Although there are no classes on Thursday, November 26, and Friday, November 27, those staying on or around campus during break can still eat at select Volunteer Dining locations. See the schedule to find out which locations are open Thursday through Sunday.

Calling All Second-Year Students for Sophomore Boot Camp

Sophomore Boot Camp is a free mini conference for second-year students that features special sessions about internships, studying abroad, writing resumes, and preparing for graduate school. The event is from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 12, in the Baker Center’s Toyota Auditorium. Learn more and register for the event.

What You Need to Know About Winter Break Residence Hall Closings

Residence halls close at 5:00 p.m. Friday, December 11. You must check out of your residence hall before you leave for winter break. Halls will reopen for the spring semester at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, January 10. Laurel, Volunteer, and Clement Residence Halls will stay open during the break for students who have made prior arrangements.
