UT has been named to Kiplinger’s Personal Finance list of Top 100 Best College Values for 2016. UT is ranked seventy-first on the list of public colleges and universities, which was released earlier this month. Read more...

Student Graduates from UT, American Culinary Federation Three Days Apart
A December graduate has become the first UT student to receive an outside chef certification while attending UT. Tara Garland, a hospitality, restaurant, and tourism management major in the College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences, received her chef certification through the American Culinary Federation just three days after walking across the stage at the December commencement ceremony. Materassi is Second UT Engineering NSF CAREER Recipient in a Month
The National Science Foundation has selected College of Engineering faculty member Donatello Materassi for one of its highest honors, the NSF CAREER award. Materassi, an assistant professor of electrical engineering and computer science, joins Cong Trinh, an assistant professor of chemical and biomolecular engineering, to become UT's second CAREER selection in less than a month. Grad Begins Appointment to Fellows Program at Department of Labor
A doctoral graduate recently started an appointment in public service at the US Department of Labor as part of the prestigious Presidential Management Fellows program. Samantha Brown, a Hillsboro, Tennessee, native and 2015 doctoral graduate of the Higher Education Administration program in the College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences, is one of 600 finalists across the nation selected out of more than 7,800 applicants for the program.
