Tennessee Veterans Memorial, National Roll Call Part of Today's Veterans Day Observances

The Remembering Our Fallen Tennessee memorial is on display in the Communications Building for the month of November and is part of the fifth annual National Day of Remembrance and Roll Call event today. The Roll Call begins at 10:00 a.m. and runs until 2:00 p.m. in Circle Park. Faculty, staff, and student volunteers will read aloud the names of the 140-plus Tennessee veterans and some of the other service members who have died in the line of duty since September 11, 2001. Vol Vision 2020 Discussion Sessions Set for November

The Milestone Review Committee will hold the final two open forums later this month for the university community to discuss updates to Vol Vision, the university's strategic plan, which serves as a roadmap for the Top 25 journey. Researchers Receive $1.8 Million USDA Grant to Study Organic Dairy Production
Over the years, organic dairy producers have expressed frustration over a lack of available information on forage production, which in turn, may have led to decreased profitability for their operations. Researchers with the Institute of Agriculture have received a $1.8 million grant from the USDA to conduct research on this issue. Read more...

Haslam College of Business Honors Alumni, Launches Campaign at Annual Gala

The Haslam College of Business recognized the accomplishments of three alumni and one corporation during its seventh annual Alumni Awards Gala November 6. Culinary Program Team Takes Home Wins in Chefs Event

Science Forum to Examine Global Warming Studies

Melissa Allen, postdoctoral researcher at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, will focus on what we know—and don't know—about global warming during this week's Science Forum at noon Friday. She will look at some of the scientific principles and methods used in those studies and talk about what they can tell us about the earth's future. Read more...
