Haslam College of Business to Honor Veterans, Active Service Members
The Haslam College of Business will recognize veterans and active service members at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, November 10, in the college’s atrium. The event falls on the birthday of the United States Marine Corps and will feature retired Marine Col. Kenneth Dunn as the keynote speaker. The free event is sponsored by the college's Office of Diversity and Community Relations and is open to all veterans, active service members, and the UT community. Read more...

Veteran Resource Center to Host Veterans Appreciation Luncheon

New Employee Orientation
This month, Human Resources will introduce a newly modeled New Employee Orientation (NEO) program. The new model will expedite the orientation process as paperwork will be filled out prior to arrival and sessions will be abbreviated. HR anticipates that this new model of NEO will provide UT’s new faculty and staff with an exciting and interactive first step in their UT careers. Read more...

News Sentinel Features Tickle College of Engineering
The Knoxville News Sentinel recently featured the newly-named Tickle College of Engineering, which has been on an upward trajectory. This year, the college ranked number 32 among engineering schools at public universities by U.S. News and World Report. It ranked No. 36 among graduate programs. UT Students Monitor Social Media

A group of graduate students who have been monitoring social media during the presidential campaign season spent election night live at the WVLT television studios. The students’ findings were part of the station’s webcast and online coverage.
