Academic Premiere of UT Symphony's Musical Work is Friday

The UT Symphony Orchestra will present the academic premiere of Knoxville: Summer of 2015, a musical sequel to Samuel Barber's famous Knoxville: Summer of 1915, on Friday, October 30, at the Tennessee Theatre in downtown Knoxville. Big Orange Give Exceeds Its Million-Dollar Goal
UT has wrapped up its annual Big Orange Give online giving campaign with alumni and friends donating $1,466,207 in one week. The third annual Big Orange Give generated 2,760 gifts from donors in all fifty states and four countries during the week leading up to the game against Alabama. Read more...

Celebrate Traditions During Homecoming Week
Homecoming is a great time to celebrate the Big Orange traditions. There are plenty of opportunities to participate in activities during Mean Green Meets Rocky Top Homecoming week which leads up to the UT vs. University of North Texas game on Saturday, November 14. Faculty and Staff Invited to Trunk or Treat
Faculty, staff, and their families are invited to a Halloween Trunk or Treat at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 28, in Circle Park. Student organizations will decorate the trunks of their cars and will hand out candy and prizes. Children can get their faces painted, make balloon animals, and play in jump houses. The United Residence Hall Council and the National Residence Hall Honorary are hosting the event. For more info, call 974-2571. Finalists Named for the IPS Vice President Position

Three finalists have been named for the position of vice president for the Institute for Public Service. Interviews will begin Thursday and conclude on November 3. As part of their visits, each candidate will lead a public forum in both Knoxville and Nashville and will respond to questions following each presentation. Agriculture Awareness Campaign Asks Tennesseans to Share Magic Moments
The Institute of Agriculture, Tennessee's Department of Agriculture, the Tennessee Farm Bureau Federation, and producer groups have launched a new statewide public awareness movement called TN Magic Moments.
