Study: TennCare Satisfaction at Record High while Uninsured Numbers Decline
The estimated number of uninsured people in Tennessee continues to drop, according to a report released Wednesday by the Center for Business and Economic Research. The report, authored by LeAnn Luna, CBER professor, pictured, and Angela Thacker, CBER research associate, is part of an annual study to determine the insurance status of Tennesseans, collect information about their use of medical facilities, and gauge satisfaction with services. Students Travel to Seven Cities for Alternative Fall Break
Ninety-eight students will spend their fall break helping the impoverished, feeding the hungry, and assisting people with disabilities. Alternative Fall Break trips, coordinated through the Center for Leadership and Service, help fulfill the center's mission to educate and engage all students to lead and serve in the global community. Sims is Quest Scholar of the Week
Charles Sims is an assistant professor in the Department of Economics and a Faculty Fellow in the Baker Center. His research involves the management of systems that couple humans and nature and involve uncertainty, with particular emphasis on natural resources, invasive species, endangered species, and public land management. Quest, the campus's comprehensive research initiative, has selected Sims as its Scholar of the Week. Read more...
