UT Knoxville Chancellor Search Update

Haslam Business Dean Steve Mangum sent the campus community an update on the search for a new UT Knoxville chancellor. The committee is in the process of selecting candidates for preliminary interviews and hope to bring finalists for on-campus interviews by the end of October or early November. Finalists will meet with campus leaders and key faculty, staff, student, alumni and community members. Public forums also will be part of the interview process. Chancellor Jimmy G. Cheek announced in June his plans to return to the faculty after the position is filled. Read more...

UT Joins I-Corps South to Expand Entrepreneurial Training
UT will receive grant funding to teach technology entrepreneurship, perform research, and foster innovation through the National Science Foundation’s Innovation Corps (I-Corps) program, a public-private partnership that trains researchers to evaluate the commercial potential of their scientific discoveries. Enroll or Re-Enroll in the Flexible Benefits Plan

October 31 is the deadline to enroll in the flexible benefits plan for 2017. Open enrollment began October 3. This program requires employees to sign up for the benefit each year, regardless of whether they are currently enrolled. Read more...

Performances Added for The Crucible in the Carousel Theatre
Due to popular demand, 7:30 p.m. October 11 and October 16 performances have been added for Arthur Miller’s classic play The Crucible now playing in the Clarence Brown Theatre’s Carousel Theatre. The production runs through October 16. UT faculty/staff, senior citizens, military personnel, children, and students receive discounts.
