Talk with Insurance and Program Experts at Today's Fall Benefits Fair
Knoxville-area faculty and staff are invited to attend a benefits fair today to learn about the wide variety of insurance options and corporate discounts that make up UT’s comprehensive benefits package. UT Co-Hosts Stargazing Party in Calhoun County, West Virginia, September 30–October 2

Amateur and professional stargazers alike are invited to watch the nighttime sky during an event in Calhoun County, West Virginia, from September 30 to October 2. A partnership that includes UT will present the third annual Calhoun Stargaze at Calhoun County Park, 380 Park Place, Grantsville, West Virginia. The park is known for having one of the darkest night skies in the eastern United States. Read more...

UT Institute for Public Service Names Naifeh Center Director
The UT Institute for Public Service has named Macel Ely director of its Naifeh Center for Effective Leadership. Ely, who is currently training program manager for IPS’s Municipal Technical Advisory Service, served as a training specialist with the Naifeh Center from 2007-2013. He succeeds former Naifeh Director Gary Peevely, who retired last spring. Read more...

UT Alumni Bring Hollywood Home
UT alumni Gordon Whitener and Brett Thomason brought Hollywood home this summer with Dog Years, a feature film starring acting legend Burt Reynolds. They worked with Tennessee legislators, the state’s film commission, and Knoxville’s film office to help bring the production here. Read more...
