Science Forum: Terry Hazen to Discuss the Dynamics of Methane
Professor Terry Hazen will present “Methane: The New Paradigm” at Friday's Science Forum. He is the UT-Oak Ridge National Laboratory Governor’s Chair for Environmental Biotechnology. Hazen is a professor in UT’s Departments of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Microbiology, and Earth and Planetary Sciences, and the director of the Institute for Secure and Sustainable Environments and Biosciences Division at ORNL. In Memoriam: Mary Jo Hoover

Mary Jo Hoover, retired associate dean of student affairs in the College of Law, passed away September 11. She was 80. Hoover joined the faculty of the UT College of Law in August 1976 as assistant dean and instructor. She became the associate dean for student affairs in 1980 and served until her retirement in the summer of 1997. Read more...

UT Institute of Agriculture Celebrates Ag Day 2016

The University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture will celebrate Ag Day on Saturday, September 24, at the Brehm Animal Science Building on the Agriculture campus. The event will start at 11:30 a.m., four hours before kickoff of the Tennessee-Florida football game. It is free to the public and includes music, farm animals, free popcorn and ice cream, an interactive social media wall, an insect petting zoo, and a visit from Vol mascot Smokey. Read more...
