Precious Prints Project Now Serves All Major Hospital Systems in Knox County
Tennova Health Care in Knoxville is the latest hospital to partner with the College of Nursing to provide the Precious Prints Project to grieving families. The student-led project provides silver fingerprint charms to families who have experienced the loss of a child. "The Precious Prints Project now serves all of the major hospitals in Knox County, providing—at no cost to the family or hospital—a lasting remembrance of a precious life lost all too soon,” said Lynne Miller, nursing instructor and director of the project. Law, Engineering Students Learn Together in UTRF Internships
Students of the College of Law and the College of Engineering had a rare opportunity to work together as interns this summer at the UT Research Foundation. "We wanted to see what it would be like to have engineering students work with law students and have them bounce ideas off each other," says Maha Krishnamurthy, assistant vice president of licensing at UTRF. "It has worked out really well. Having an interdisciplinary team has benefited everyone.
