Events Scheduled to Welcome New and Returning Vols

It's officially Welcome Week, and students have the chance to attend more than forty events through Friday to kick off the first week of classes. The weeklong celebration is an annual tradition and serves as a way for students to get settled into life on campus and make connections with other students, faculty, and staff. Read more...

Student Veterans Get Grant to Help Complete Resource Center

Student veterans will have a new Veterans Resource Center to use this fall. The center, which will serve as a welcoming space for military students and their families, will be in Dunford Hall during the fall while its permanent space in Hodges Library is prepared. A welcome-back celebration for student veterans will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday in the Veterans Resource Center. Read more...

Meet a Vol, Have a Ball in Library Welcome Week Events
Faculty, staff, and students are invited to take a seat in a ball pit and make a friend during "Meet a Vol, Have a Ball!" events. Conversation starters are printed on the balls. Free swag includes UT Libraries posters featuring UT's mascot, Smokey. The ball pit is open until 1:00 p.m. today; 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 3:00–5:00 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday; and 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Thursday. Read more...
