UT Hosts Accounting and Information Management Academy for High School Students

Twenty rising high school juniors from across Tennessee are on campus through Wednesday for the Accounting and Information Management Academy at the Haslam College of Business. The students, who have an average GPA of 3.6, were selected through a competitive process requiring essays, transcripts, and letters of recommendation. The mission of the academy is to expose underrepresented students to the dynamics of the accounting world. Read more...

Study: Relationship Woes Could Have Roots Close to Home

One of the biggest stumbling blocks to having successful relationships lies within. That's the somewhat startling finding of a study conducted by UT graduate student Jerika Norona and Professor Deborah Welsh, both of the psychology department, which Welsh heads. The research focused on undergraduate college students, both because of the ready availability of subjects and because they are in a particularly formative time of their lives. Read more...

In May, UT signed a new contract with Adobe for Creative Cloud, Captivate, and Presenter. The new contract licensing for Creative Cloud is based on specific, named users, and requires UT to assign licenses to specific employees for all products. Read more...
