Chancellor Makes Interim Appointments for Provost, Vice Chancellor for Communications
Chancellor Jimmy G. Cheek announced interim appointments June 30 for two key positions on his staff. John Zomchick, vice provost for faculty affairs, will serve as interim provost beginning August 1. Jacob Rudolph, marketing director in the Office of Communications and Marketing, began serving as interim vice chancellor for communications on July 1. Read more...

McClung Museum to Host Dino-Themed Family Fun Day, Stroller Tour to Ancient Rome
The McClung Museum will offer a Family Fun Day and a stroller tour this month. "Dinosaurs and Fossils" will be the theme of Family Fun Day from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. July 9. Activities include a gallery tour and take-home craft, inspired by the special exhibition Dinosaur Discoveries: Ancient Fossils, New Ideas. A Stroller Tour and craft activity on the Life on the Roman Frontier exhibit will be 10:00–11:30 a.m. July 18. Read more...

VOLeaders on Ten-Day Trip to Brazil

Members of the VOLeaders Academy departed for Brazil last week for an opportunity of a lifetime. The group, composed of thirteen student-athletes representing nine sports, will visit São Paulo and Rio as part of a ten-day cultural exchange experience. Some of the activities scheduled for the trip include visiting the University of São Paulo, attending a Brazilian soccer match between Corinthians and Flamengo, participating in the community Street Sports Festival in São Paulo, and visiting the US Consulate in Rio.
