UT Dedicates Boyd Center for Business and Economic Research

A crowd gathered Friday to dedicate the Boyd Center for Business and Economic Research within UT's Haslam College of Business and to honor alumni and benefactors Randy and Jenny Boyd. The Randy and Jenny Boyd Distinguished Professorship was also created, and will be linked to the director of the Boyd Center going forward. Read more...

Smart Communities Initiative to Showcase this Year's Work
The Smart Communities Initiative is wrapping up its second year, and an upcoming event will showcase some of the work that’s been done for this year’s community partner, the Southeast Tennessee Development District. CCI's Brotman Gets Lifetime Achievement Award from Broadcast Association
Stuart N. Brotman, the Howard Distinguished Endowed Professor of Media Management and Law and Beaman Professor of Communication and Information, is the 2016 recipient of the Lifetime Achievement in Scholarship Award from the Broadcast Education Association. Traveling Harry Potter Exhibition Features English Professor
A UT professor will give a presentation in conjunction with a traveling Harry Potter exhibition at UT Medical Center. Amy Billone, an associate professor of English, will present "Harry Potter and the Nineteenth-Century Dream Child" from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 20. Student Earns National Interior Design Scholarship
Taylor Odom, a third-year student in the College of Architecture and Design’s School of Interior Design, has earned a 2016 Gensler Brinkmann Scholarship.
