Professor, Alumnus Partner on Research That Could Guide Breast Cancer Treatment
After a business doctoral student lost his wife to a recurrence of breast cancer, he put his analytical skills to work to help doctors determine which course of treatment would be most effective for women battling a certain type of breast cancer. T. Allen Pannell Jr., who earned his doctorate from UT in 2015, is now director of the business analytics program at Lincoln Memorial University. Read more...

Gary Gray to Join Provost Office

Gary Gray will join the Office of the Provost as assistant provost for finance and administration on March 13. As assistant provost, Gray will develop and implement the office’s academic planning and budgeting process, oversee the budgets and financial operations of the colleges and academic affairs offices, and serve as the office’s liaison with the Division of Finance and Administration. Wild Bird Eggstravaganza at the UT Gardens

Celebrate the coming of spring at the UT Gardens with a fun family educational event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 1. Participants will learn about wild birds, the vegetarian side of their diet, and how to feed your favorite wild birds with their favorite foods and flowers. A 20-year hobby for alumnus Larry Smith will be given to UT for archive purposes and preservation. Smith has six rooms of UT basketball memorabilia, including shelves stacked with oversized albums of newspaper game stories and ring binders bulging with media guides, game programs, every team Christmas card since 1963, and ticket stubs.
