Sixth Annual Social Media Week Features Experts, Sports Personality
The sixth annual UT Social Media Week will kick off Monday, February 27, and continue through Thursday, March 2. Panel discussions—on topics ranging from politics to sports to crisis management to entertainment—will feature social media professionals, many of whom are UT alumni. School of Music to Celebrate Grammy Award- and Pulitzer Prize-Winning Composer
The School of Music is celebrating composer Jennifer Higdon—a native of Maryville whose honors include both a Pulitzer Prize and a Grammy award—this week. Today, Higdon will lecture at 12:40 p.m. in the Sandra G. Powell Recital Hall of the Natalie L. Haslam Music Center. Tonight, UT's Symphonic Band, Concert Band, Wind Ensemble, and soloist Andrew Bliss will perform some of Higdon's works at 8 p.m. in the James R. Cox Auditorium of Alumni Memorial Building.
