Dixie Thompson Named Vice Provost, Dean of Graduate School
Dixie L. Thompson has been named vice provost and dean of the Graduate School. She will take the post April 1. A faculty member since 1994, Thompson has been serving as associate dean for research and academic affairs in UT’s College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences. Read more...

Monday kicks off a week of events celebrating UT's faculty for "Going the Extra Mile" in their teaching and research. 2016 CCI Experience Diversity Banquet Will Feature Nashville TV Meteorologist Statom
The College of Communication and Information will hold its eighth annual Experience Diversity Banquet tonight at Bearden Banquet Hall. The keynote speaker and recipient of the college’s Diversity Award will be UT alumnus Lelan Statom. Join Be Well for Winter Fun Walk
Join Be Well for a Winter Fun Walk in the Knoxville Botanical Garden and Arboretum on Saturday, February 20. Registration for the 1.2-mile walk begins at 9:30 a.m. at the garden's main entrance at 2817 Boyds Bridge Pike and the event goes until noon. Participants will receive a goody bag and the chance to win one of four kids' bicycles to be given away during a drawing at the conclusion of the event.
