Frieson, Fleming Are African American Trailblazers for Spring

A successful alumnus and businessman and a pioneering female historian who taught at UT for thirty-two years will headline this semester's African American Trailblazer Series. Alumnus Don Frieson, executive vice president of operations for Sam’s Club, will speak on February 3. Historian Cynthia Fleming will close the series on March 3. Read more...

McKay's Forum Rescheduled

A campus forum featuring Larry McKay, one of three candidates for vice provost and dean of the Graduate School, has been rescheduled for 3:00 p.m. on February 1 in Haslam Business Building, Room 305. His previously scheduled interview and forum were cancelled because of inclement weather. Read more...

Download Alertus Before Friday's UT Alert Test
The university plans to test the UT Alert mass notification system at 1:10 p.m. Friday, January 29. A recent upgrade to the UT Alert system allows the university to send emergency notification messages to computer monitors, including desktop and laptop computers, through the new Alertus client software. This new feature also will be part of Friday's test. Read more...

The Office of Research Integrity resumes its lunchtime series "Responsible Conduct of Research" at noon Friday, January 29, in Hodges Library auditorium with a session on human subjects research and the Institutional Review Board.
