School of Information Sciences to Help Replace Books for Kids Impacted by Wildfires
The School of Information Sciences will be collecting books for children in Sevier County who lost their possessions in the recent wildfires. In conjunction with the Sevier County Public Library, SIS will collect new books for children and teens at its office in Suite 451 of the Communications Building. Books should be delivered to the office by Friday, February 3. Read more...

In Memoriam: Jeffrey MacCabe
Jeffrey MacCabe, a longtime faculty member in the Department of Biochemistry and Cellular and Molecular Biology, passed away December 29. He was 73. A memorial service will be held for MacCabe at 1 p.m. Saturday at Messiah Lutheran Church, 6900 Kingston Pike. Read more...

Simek to Appear in Nat Geo's 'The Story of God with Morgan Freeman' Monday
UT's Jan Simek will appear in the National Geographic series The Story of God with Morgan Freeman on Monday, January 23. The segment will air at 9 p.m. on the National Geographic Channel.
