Celebrating the Dream: Students Reflect on King's Legacy

Tennessee Athletics highlighted a few people who represent historical firsts for the university and the athletics department during a halftime "Celebration of Diversity, Inclusion, and Realization of Dreams" at a women's basketball game. This video was a part of that celebration and features students from all aspects of campus life reflecting on the impact of Martin Luther King Jr.'s dream. Read more...

Harjo Begins Writers in the Library Series on January 23
Joy Harjo was the first Native American to win the prestigious Wallace Stevens Award from the Academy of American Poets. Harjo, who holds the chair of excellence in UT's creative writing program, will open the spring Writers in the Library reading series on Monday, January 23. Read more...

Spirit Teams Finish in National Top 10
Tennessee's Spirit Teams competed over the weekend at the 2017 Universal Cheerleaders Association and Universal Dance Association College National Championships at ESPN Wide World of Sports in Orlando, Florida. All three components of the Tennessee Spirit Program—cheer, dance, and mascots—placed among the Top 10 in the nation. Read more...
