Harrington Named SEC Video Coordinator of the Year

The Collegiate Sports Video Association has named Joe Harrington, sports technology coordinator for UT’s football coaching staff, the 2015-16 Southeastern Conference Video Coordinator of the Year.

Teen Cancer Patient Visits UT, Gets Big Orange Homecoming Surprise

A sixteen-year-old cancer patient offered “honorary admission” to UT several months ago was on campus this past weekend to enjoy Homecoming festivities. Noah Hays, a high school junior from Charlotte, North Carolina, is a lifelong Volunteer fan whose dream of attending UT has been jeopardized by his diagnosis with stage four rhabdomyosarcoma, an aggressive and rare cancer of the muscle and bone marrow.

Nominate Outstanding Students for Courtside Experience

The Office of the Dean of Students, in collaboration with UT Athletics, will give students an opportunity to watch UT basketball games from the comfort of Smokey’s Sofa, a courtside experience at Thompson-Boling Arena.

Bring the Family to This Year’s VOLoween Event

Faculty, staff, and their families are invited to attend the annual VOLoween event, 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, October 27, at the Neyland-Thompson Center indoor practice field at the corner of Lake Loudoun Boulevard and Johnny Majors Drive. There will be games and trick-or-treating fun for the entire family, sponsored by UT Athletics.
