Hundreds turned out for Today‘s live broadcast from the Hill Monday. Some fans even camped out to get a good view of hosts Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb. The fourth hour fun showcased a myriad of student groups and segments such as a quiz show, ambush makeovers, “Sara Goes Back to College”, how to tailgate, and a live performance by country music artist Kip Moore.
Monday will be a very exciting day on campus as the fourth hour of the Today show will broadcast live outside of Ayres Hall. This is a unique opportunity to showcase the campus and the community. Students, faculty, staff, and fans are encouraged to wear their orange and come out Monday morning for the show.
The Today show was live on campus Wednesday morning as part of the show’s “Kathie Lee and Hoda Go Back to College” challenge. UT is one of six finalists in the competition, which will bring Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb to the winning campus in early October for an hour-long live broadcast. UT needs your vote to win. Fans can vote online once per day, per computer. Voting ends at 3:00 p.m. Friday.
The Today show will be live on campus Wednesday, and this is your chance to be seen on national TV! UT is one of six finalists in Today’s “Kathie Lee and Hoda Go Back to College” challenge. A Today reporter will be doing live segments from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday from the south side of Ayres Hall to introduce UT to viewers and promote the competition. So wear your orange and turn out to prove to Today viewers that UT has the best college spirit in America.
