ESPN Documentary on UT’s Condredge Holloway Premieres Sunday

Condredge Holloway, former Vols quarterback and current UT associate athletics director, broke racial barriers when he was named the first African-American quarterback in the Southeastern Conference in 1971. “The Color Orange: The Condredge Holloway Story,” a documentary chronicling Holloway’s story, will premier Sunday, Feb. 20, at 8 p.m. on ESPN. The documentary was produced and narrated by country music star and lifelong UT fan, Kenny Chesney.

Tennessee director of athletics Mike Hamilton recently embarked upon a 10-day mission trip to Africa, visiting the countries of Rwanda and Kenya as a member of the Blood:Water Mission group. This organization seeks to empower communities in Africa to work together against the HIV/AIDS and water crises in Africa with a core purpose of building community through creative social action.
