Employees Honored at UT Service Awards Luncheon

Congratulations are in order to the 121 UT Knoxville-area employees recognized on Tuesday for twenty-five years or more of service to the university. During the luncheon held at the University Center, UT President Joe DiPietro and UT Knoxville Chancellor Jimmy G. Cheek thanked the employees for their continued contributions and loyalty to the university and its statewide mission of education, research and public service.

More than 80 employees, including interim president Jan Simek, were recognized recently for their years of dedicated service to the University of Tennessee. Staff and faculty from UT Knoxville, the UT system and the Institute of Agriculture received their awards at a special luncheon.

“The University of Tennessee is fortunate in the remarkable commitment to service shown by our employees,” Acting UT President Jan Simek said. “At a special luncheon this week to honor their work, Chancellor Cheek and I recognized 99 employees with 25 or more years of service to the University of Tennessee.”
