Big Orange: Campus Welcomes Its Largest Freshman Class in at Least Three Decades

Nearly 4,700 freshmen—the largest first-year class in at least thirty years—will begin classes at UT on August 20. Overall, about 7,400 students will live on campus this fall, about 300 more than last year. While some students have already moved to campus, the big move-in day begins at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.

UT, Tennessee Fare Well in New Student Loan Debt Report

Tennessee graduates are less likely to have student loan debt than students in other states. And those who do owe less. That good news comes from the new Project on Student Debt report, issued by the nonprofit Institute for College Access & Success.

UT’s Richard Bayer Re-Elected to ACT State Council

Richard Bayer, assistant provost and director of enrollment services at UT Knoxville, has been re-elected as the state representative to the American College Testing (ACT) State Representative Council. Bayer has served in this capacity for three years.
