Ready for the World Café to Celebrate March Madness

In honor of the Vols’ and Lady Vols’ participation in the NCAA tournaments, the Ready for the World Café is celebrating March Madness the week of March 22 with its international buffet and a raffle for a basketball autographed by coach Pat Summitt.

Ready for the World Café to Provide ‘Taste of the South’

The Ready for the World Café, the international buffet run by students at UT Knoxville, resumes this week with a “Taste of the South.” The café is open from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday in the Hermitage Room on the third floor of the University Center.

UT’s Ready for the World Café to Help Raise Money for Cystic Fibrosis

Good food will be paired with a good cause the week of Feb. 22 as the Ready for the World Café raises money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Musician Eric Johnson will perform at the café on Monday, Feb. 22, and the rock/hop-hop artist Jaystorm will perform on Wednesday, Feb. 24. T-shirts and wristbands will be given out to diners. Diners will have the opportunity to donate to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation during their visits to the café.

The Ready for the World Café will offer a world of flavors this week, with dishes from Italy, France and the American southwest. This week, the Ready for the World Café will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday in the Hermitage Room on the third floor of the University Center. The café will be closed Thursday so students involved can attend a career fair.

Diners pay $11 for the all-you-can-eat buffet or $9 for a plate of food to carry out. The café accepts cash, all major credit cards, AllStar and Dining Dollars.
