Chancellor Jimmy G. Cheek and Provost Susan Martin reflect on their own college experiences and some of the faculty members who played important roles in their lives.
Sarah Gardial, vice provost of faculty affairs at UT Knoxville, has been named board president of the MBA Roundtable, the premier organization that provides guidance and leadership for MBA curriculum worldwide. “I am honored to be appointed board president of this prestigious leadership group and to be associated with such an esteemed group of colleagues,” said Gardial. “Being involved with UT’s MBA program has been one of my most valued academic experiences, and it will be great to share my learning at this new level.”
The Office of the Provost will take the lead this semester in launching VOL Vision, a planning process to engage the campus in a robust dialog regarding UT Knoxville’s future. I hope that each of you will consider joining us in this important activity.
