UT Honors Longtime Employees at Service Awards Luncheon

Knoxville-area UT employees with at least twenty-five years of service were recognized last week at the university’s spring Service Awards Luncheon. Ninety-eight employees were honored for their continued contributions and loyalty to the University of Tennessee.

HR Connection: Employee Relations Advisory Organization Offers a Seat at the Table

The Employee Relations Advisory Organization, or ERAO, was established in 1972 to provide direct communication between regular staff nonexempt employees and university officials. The ERAO also provides university officials with an effective method of soliciting and disseminating information about employee plans and programs.

HR Connection: Human Resources Moves Back to Campus

The staff of the Knoxville campus Human Resources office has moved to 105 Student Services Building in Circle Park, in close proximity to Andy Holt Tower, the Communications Building, and the McClung Museum of Natural History and Culture.

HR Connection: Alica Shamblin Named Recruitment Manager

Alica Shamblin has been promoted to the position of manager of recruitment. Shamblin has worked in the Human Resources office for the past year. During her time at UT, she has worked on both recruitment and employee relations assignments. Shamblin replaces Ashlie Czyz, who was recently promoted to director of HR services and executive recruiter for the UT System.
