Open enrollment for benefits began Monday and will remain open through Friday, October 14. During this period, UT faculty and staff have the opportunity to sign up for or make changes to their health, dental, vision, basic and term life, long-term care, and optional special accident insurance and their flexible spending accounts. Do you take advantage of UT’s Flexible Benefits? Employees interested in joining the plan or participating for another year should sign up during this year’s open enrollment period, which ends November 30. The flexible benefits plan allows employees to pay certain predictable medical and dependent care expenses, such as co-pays, with pre-tax dollars.
All employees should have received their annual enrollment packet for the Medical and Dependent Flexible Benefits Plan and the new Transportation and Parking Flexible Benefits Plan for calendar year 2011. Plan packets were sent to faculty and staff campus mail addresses in the last two weeks. The Transportation and Parking Flexible Benefits Plan is a new benefit for regular UT employees.
