Support Reaches All-Time High

UT Knoxville received nearly $235 million in private and corporate gifts last fiscal year, marking the most successful fundraising year in its history. In fiscal year 2015, which ended June 30, more than 39,000 donors boosted private support by 79 percent over the previous year.

Big Orange Family Campaign: Faculty Giving

Harry “Hap” McSween has worked for the university for thirty-seven years. He’s been giving back to UT for more than thirty years. A Chancellor’s Professor, distinguished professor of earth and planetary sciences, and last year’s SEC Professor of the Year in 2013, McSween gives back to the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences. “I’m just trying to make my academic program stronger,” he says. The Big Orange Family Campaign wraps up this week, and there are lots of ways for faculty and staff to give back to the areas of campus that matter most to them.

Family Campaign ‘Thank You’ Breakfast

Faculty and staff who have supported UT through the Family Campaign were honored at a breakfast on Tuesday, Feb. 15. Part of Faculty Appreciation week, guests were thanked by Chancellor Jimmy G. Cheek and breakfast host Dee Haslam for their contributions. Gifts from the Family Campaign have contributed to student scholarships, faculty and staff development programs and facility enhancements.
