Cervone, Colter Elected as Exempt Staff Council Officers

Tom Cervone, program/managing director of the Department of Theatre and Clarence Brown Theatre, was recently elected chair of the Exempt Staff Council. Shane Colter, associate chief information officer for UT Knoxville administration and academics in OIT, will serve as chair elect.

Nominate Someone for the Exempt Staff Council by June 30

The Exempt Staff Council is accepting nominations for representatives from several areas. The deadline to submit a nomination is Wednesday, June 30. You may nominate yourself or someone else to serve on the council, which is composed of elected representatives from each administrative unit based on the number of exempt staff positions within each unit.

Exempt Staff Council Welcomes New Representatives

The following UT employees are the newest elected representatives to the Exempt Staff Council (ESC). The ESC, counterpart to the Faculty Senate and Employee Relations Councils, is a body elected by peers to represent nearly 1,200 exempt (administrative and professional) staff. Representatives serve a three-year term and can serve no more than two consecutive terms.
