Campus Disability Advocates, a student-run organization at UT, will hold its second Disability Week from October 21 through 25. The events aim to educate the public about the social and economic issues that often accompany disabilities, local advocacy work for equality, and the value of having diverse life experiences. All events are free and open to the public and begin at 7:00 p.m. in the International House Great Room.
Faculty, staff, students, and alumni are sharing the big ideas that make a difference in their world. Lindsay Lee, a junior majoring in Spanish and math, has the big idea of starting Disability Awareness Week at UT. The week begins November 26 and includes events such as an art show and public forum.
