UT to Attempt World Record Live on the Today Show March 29

The nation’s eyes will focus on UT Wednesday, March 29, as the campus attempts to break the Guinness World Record for the world’s largest human letter by forming an enormous Power T in Neyland Stadium. The feat will be broadcast live from 7 to 9 a.m. on NBC’s Today show, with weatherman Al Roker doing his weather reports from the stadium.

McClelland Elected to Society of Professional Journalists National Board

Members of the Society of Professional Journalists have elected Rachel Wedding McClelland, director of the Office of Student Media, to serve on the organization’s national board. McClelland was sworn in Tuesday after a record-setting election turnout of its nearly ten thousand members. She was one of four candidates vying for the national at-large director seat
