UT Faculty, Staff, Alumni to Read Their Poetry at Ijams September 22

Six acclaimed writers with connections to UT will read and perform their work at Ijams Nature Center on Sunday, September 22. “Letters to the Earth: Songs and Poems of Conservation” will feature Jesse Graves, Marilyn Kallet, Jeff Daniel Marion, Linda Parsons Marion, R. B. Morris, and Arthur Smith. They are all either UT faculty, staff, or alumni.

Author Joshua Robbins to be Guest Speaker February 20

Author Joshua Robbins will be the guest speaker at Nosh n’ Chat on Wednesday, February 20. He will discuss his new book, Praise Nothing, during the free event, which will take place at 3:00 p.m. in 1210-1211 McClung Tower.

Acclaimed Poet Thomas Lynch Will Read February 11

Irish-American poet, essayist, and fiction writer Thomas Lynch will continue the Writers in the Library series on February 11. Lynch will be reading from his work at 7:00 p.m. in the Hodges Library Auditorium. The reading is free and open to the public.

Internationally Acclaimed Poet Adam Zagajewski to Read his Works

Internationally acclaimed poet Adam Zagajewski—widely known for his poem “Try to Praise the Mutilated World” published in The New Yorker in the aftermath of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks—will be on campus on October 31 to read from his works. He will participate in an informal chat at 2:00 p.m. in McClung Tower. His reading begins at 7:00 p.m. in the Hodges Library auditorium. It is free and open to the public.
