Baker Center Event to Focus on Blogs, Social Media, Political Incivility

The Howard H. Baker Jr. Center for Public Policy, in partnership with the Student Government Association-Government Affairs Committee, will host a discussion about “Blogs, Social Media and Political Incivility” on March 23. The event, free and open to the public, will begin at 7 p.m. in the Toyota Auditorium at the Baker Center.

Art Sought for Exhibit at UT’s Poverty and Health Care Mini-Summit

UT students and staff are invited to submit their paintings, drawings, photographs, sculptures, films/videos, mixed media and installations for a juried exhibit to be held in conjunction with the “Poverty and Health Care” mini-summit to be held on March 31 at the Baker Center.

UT to Host Election Reform Conference on March 5 at Baker Center

Election reform will be the focus of a one-day conference to be held March 5 at UT Knoxville. The conference, to be moderated by Edye Ellis, former broadcast news anchor for WBIR-TV Channel 10, will be held in the Toyota Auditorium of the Baker Center. The program is a joint effort of the Baker Center, the College of Law, the Department of Political Science and the American Studies Program.
