Sign Up Now for UT Knoxville Golden Grads Reunion

Each year, the UT Knoxville Alumni Association celebrates the 50th anniversary of its graduates. This year’s Golden Grads Reunion will take place April 15-17 and honors class of 1960 graduates. Graduates from the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s also are invited to attend.

Sign Up Now for UT Knoxville Black Alumni Reunion

The UT Knoxville Black Alumni Weekend is scheduled for April 9-10 and spaces are filling up fast. The event will take place on campus and includes a welcome reception and mixer on Friday evening and a continental breakfast, a choice of workshops, lunch and a gala event on Saturday.

UT Knoxville Alum, Author Discusses Book for Alumni Event

A. Scott Pearson, author and UT Knoxville alumnus, will be the featured speaker at an event sponsored by the UT Office of Alumni Affairs and the Alumni Association Knox County Chapter. Pearson will discuss his first novel, “Rupture,” a medical thriller set in Memphis. The event will take place on Wednesday, February 3 at 7 p.m. in the Hodges Library Auditorium on UT’s campus.

Extreme Makeover: TV Experience Prompts UT Alumna’s Family to Start Charitable Effort

Watch ABC’s “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” on Sunday, Dec. 13, and you’ll see how a UT Knoxville alumna and her family’s construction company led more than 3,200 volunteers in building a house for a needy family. What you won’t see is everything that’s happened since. Anne Maleno and her family were so moved by their involvement in the project that they’ve found a way to keep on giving even though the TV cameras are long gone.

Alum Celebrates Family Legacy with Gift to College of Business Administration

Alumnus Joe Crafton, president of CROSSMARK, a leading provider of services to the consumer goods industry, has provided a gift to the College of Business Administration at UT Knoxville, in recognition of the impact UT has had on his family. His gift supports technology in the college’s new James A. Haslam II Business Building and shopper marketing efforts in the college’s Department of Marketing and Logistics.

UT Graduate Receives Accomplished Alumni Award, Addresses Students

Minneapolis-based attorney Randy Hopper has been recognized with UT Knoxville’s Accomplished Alumnus Award. The award is sponsored by the UT Knoxville Office of Alumni Affairs and recognizes graduates who have achieved great professional success.

UT Giving Circle Grant Program Now Accepting Applications for 2010

The UT Alliance of Women Philanthropists’ Giving Circle Grant Program is accepting grant applications for the 2010 academic year. Students, faculty, staff, departmental units and student organizations from all UT campuses are eligible to apply.

UT’s College of Business Administration Honors Alumni

The College of Business Administration at UT Knoxville has honored four alumni and organizations for their extraordinary commitment to the college and their community. The awards were given out on Friday at an alumni gala at the James A. Haslam II Business Building.

Tennessee History to be Focus of UT Alumni College Event on Nov. 20

Alumni and friends of UT Knoxville are invited to campus on Nov. 20 for an Alumni College day of learning about Tennessee history. Sponsored by the UT Office of Alumni Affairs Lifelong Learning Program, the Alumni College will feature four speakers between 7:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. The day’s activities will be held in the Howard H. Baker Jr. Center for Public Policy.
