UT Knoxville students will perform and compete in this year’s Carnicus, a lighthearted spoof of the popular MTV show “Jersey Shore,” this weekend. This is the 81st year for Carnicus, a singing and drama competition among student groups presented by UT Knoxville’s All Campus Events.
Students at UT Knoxville are kicking up their heels this weekend to raise money for children with cancer and other blood-related diseases. UT’s Dance Marathon lasts from 10 p.m. Friday, Feb. 19, to noon Saturday, Feb. 20.
Students will get UT Knoxville jumping this week with this year’s All-Sing competition, a campus tradition of more than 75 years. The 2010 All-Sing will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 4, and 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 5, in Cox Auditorium in the Alumni Memorial Building.
UT will “Rock ‘n’ Roll the Tigers!” during this year’s Homecoming festivities set for Nov. 1-8. From the traditional Friday afternoon parade to the pre-game Party in the Park, all members of the UT community can celebrate UT traditions at events for all ages. Homecoming’s anchor event will be the Volunteers’ football game against the Memphis Tigers at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7.
