Five-time National Football League Most Valuable Player, Denver Broncos quarterback, and Vols legend Peyton Manning was on campus Monday to present the Peyton Manning Scholarship to four incoming freshmen.
Thanks and congratulations to the many students, faculty, and staff who helped the 2014–15 Campus Chest campaign exceed its goal. The Knoxville-area campaign raised $624,918, which is 101 percent of its goal of $620,000.

Sophomore Volunteer men’s tennis player Sean Karl died Sunday in Knoxville after a two-year battle with Ewing’s Sarcoma, a rare type of tissue and bone cancer that predominately attacks adolescents and young adults. A memorial service will be held on campus at Goodfriend Tennis Center on Thursday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. The family and team are asking all attendees to wear Tennessee orange.

A UT endowment established to honor longtime women’s athletic director Joan Cronan provides a graduate fellowship to Lady Vols who wish to follow in Cronan’s footsteps and advocate for women’s athletics. The first recipient of the Joan Cronan Lady Vol Graduate Fellowship is four-time All-American softball star Raven Chavanne, who holds team records for career batting average and stolen bases.
