UT Transition Coaches are accepting appointments for students who are considering changing their major. They provide general advising and referrals to appropriate departments like the Center for Career Development and prospective colleges. As part of the Student Success unit, coaches can also provide academic support and resources for students who need a little help or are struggling with classes.

Which students would benefit from meeting with a transition coach?

  • Students who are interested in or are considering changing colleges
  • Students who no longer meet major requirements and are required to switch colleges
  • Students transferring to UT who were not admitted to the college of their choice
  • Students moving from Volunteer Bridge to UT

Transition coaches are here to help and to talk through your transition time at UT. Some students may only need to meet with a coach once to solidify plans and others may want regular meetings and check-ins. No two coaching sessions are the same. Call 974-3523 to schedule your appointment or visit the First-Year Studies website to learn more.
