UT sustainability manager Preston Jacobsen recently spoke with the News Sentinel about UT’s inclusion in two prestigious lists of schools that are doing great things in sustainability.
The Princeton Review included UT in its list of 375 Green Schools, and the Sierra Club ranked UT 80th in its list of “Cool Schools” for energy sustainability, up from 96th place last year. Jacobsen also discussed the solar panels on top of the 11th Street Garage, electric vehicle charging stations on campus, and the use of geothermal heat and cooling at Sorority Village.
