UT Research Foundation President Stacey Patterson speaks at Technov865.

The UT Research Foundation wrapped up another successful Innov865 week, its annual gathering of researchers, entrepreneurs, students and leaders from across the region.

Over the course of the week, more than 1,000 people took part in a series of events designed to promote innovation and foster new ideas such as:

  • Startup Day, where ideas were discussed on how to start businesses and a $15,000 grant was awarded to the best proposal
  • Investor Speed Dating, which gave entrepreneurs time to meet with capital investors seeking new ventures
  • JumpFund, a group of women dedicated to help other women start businesses

Technov865 was once again a highlight, bringing in speakers to present some of the emerging technology being brought about by faculty at UT.
