Faculty-Directed Study Abroad Program Informational Session

At noon Wednesday, September 20, the Center for International Education and International Studies Abroad are hosting an informational session for faculty about how to develop a lead a study abroad program. The meeting, held in the International House Community Room, will be led by Noah Rost, associate director of CIE and Caroline Ickes, director of strategic partnerships for International Studies Abroad.

Faculty can design a program to run during any of the regular summer terms or embed a semester course with an international component.

In the 2016-17 academic year, UT sent 1,200 students on study abroad programs and nearly 70 percent of those students participated in a faculty-directed program. It is the most popular choice for students, and faculty who have directed programs in the past have described it as a very rewarding teaching experience.

RSVP online to attend by September 13.
